I have eaten at 88 Giant Burgers for the last twenty years . It as change hands one or two times . The young people who have it now did a great job . I had a double cheeseburger and fries , the burger was as advertised , the fries were hot maybe enough for two nah .

Nice juicy burgers and "large fry" means a whole bag full.

I simply liked their dishes. I always get fantastic customer service here. The place is well organised and the workers are always very nice. Will visit here again.

Staff is rude AF and the food is greasy. BUT OMG ITS SO GOOD! P.S. don't order the large fry unless you're a family of 6, lol. It's definitely "family size", way too much for the two of us to share.

The food we had was really good. They give you a mountain of fries with your order as well

My son called the nice ladies burger ninjas as one flipped buns across the grill. The team worked with precision as the flow of people through this tiny burger joint picked up. The place is called 88 Giant Burgers for a reason, there should be no surprise when you find it hard to finish these big burgers. The large fries could be called giant, colossal or humongous but large doesn’t do it justice. Order a real ice cream shake, it’s amazing.

Bugers were awesome, bacon delicious and crispy, made to order and to perfection. Also you get a whole lot of fries per order, so beware 😁 if you only eat a few. I found little spot off Hwy 88 on my way home back to Sacramento, I will say this is a new on my way home eatery!

If you are looking fan old fashioned burger joint this is the place to go. We drove 45mins to get there and will definitely be going back.

This place rocks. Young folks operate it but they do a mean job of dishing out some yummy burgers and fries. Open 7 days a week with consistent hours. Highly recommended if you’re traveling on highway 88.

No sit down dining. FANTASTIC burgers. Fair price. Fry orders are big. Not a ton of parking but there is a nice park across the road. Perfect roadside Burger place

I come to this outstanding restaurant many times as I love the special atmosphere that is unique to this place. The staff is very attentive and experienced. The service is remarkablywonderfully efficient. Most important, the food you eat is good. I frequent many times and I was never disappointed. The price is fair. I suggest this restaurant to my friends and family.

Pretty good standard hamburger joint burgers. Massive amount of fries, which are pretty good two. Good goto for a quick burger at good price.

Great burgers, nice employees. If you like something spicy, try their Western burger. Jalapenos, grilled onions, and BBQ sauce make this burger a winner. They're large fry will feed your whole family. One drawback (in my opinion) is that they don't have bacon. Limited seating available but in a nice day, the park across the street is a great place to eat

Normally I would rave about this place. Burgers were off today. Meat not the same, fries poorly cooked. Whole hamburger just not the same. I choose to give them the benefit of the doubt due to COVID & that the price of beef has gone up. So I am hoping that this lower quality of food is a temporary situation. We will be back and hopefully they are back up to their usual standards. I would pay more $ to get the same quality they are known for.

Stopped by on our way back from Tahoe here but left without food cause the wait for a burger was over 30 minutes! Being killed with popularity! Although there didn't seem to be a huge crowd waiting.

A must do stop in Pine Grove CA if you like Burgers and Fries. Order the large fries for only 50¢ more, it's enough for 3-4 people! Burgers we're fresh and hand made. Limited seating, so just eat in the car! You'll be glad you did.

They made my burger completely wrong then acted like it was my fault. It was still pretty good but Pioneer burger up the road is better

Ordered a small batch of chili cheese fries. What I got was about five solid pounds of food, approximately half of which appeared to be cheese. Halfway through eating it, I could feel my arteries clogging. After finishing it, there's a perpetual tightness in my chest. I may be having a small heart attack as I write this. My only recourse as a result of the sheer volume of calories I just consumed for a very fair $6 is to go on a week long walkabout in the wilderness with no other sustenance - an endeavor I fully expect to survive with plenty of calories left to burn.Anyway, 10/10. Would risk cardiac arrest again.

We are in town for the weekend at Gold Country Campgrounds and we picked this small buyer joint because we all wanted a hamburger. What a treat and surprise we received!! The burgers were huge and delicious and their large fries were insanely huge and they tasted great too!! Everyone passing through Pine Grove should try this place...you will not be disappointed!!

Awesome little burger joint! Service is great. Food is magically delicious! Prices aren't bad either! Highly recommend stopping by if your passing through Pine Grove! And there is spacious parking behind the building.

Cool little place, burgers hand made and cooked with a nice crust on a flat top. Small counter with stools inside, 2 tables outside. Worth the stop.

Omg! One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I recommend ordering small order of french fries. They're small order will feed four people. It was great that the food was prepared right in front of us. I've been told it's extremely busy on Sunday afternoons. I look forward to my next visit.

You can't live this way all the time but "when in Rome...". If your travels take you thru Pine Grove you Must stop at the 88 Burger. Went with a buddy and we each got a cheeseburger and fries. Exceptional burger and a freaking bucket load of fries. Here's a tip... split one order of fries. On the other hand... go for it. They are delicious.

Bring your appetite to 88 Giant Burgers. A must go if you’re in Pine Grove or just passing through. The burgers are fresh, truly delightful, delicious and giant. The portion of fries is huge as well- one large order is plenty for four. If you’re grabbing to-go or eating in at their counter or outdoor spaces, you’ll be very satisfied.

Recently stopped here on the way back from the Black Chasm CavernAfter waiting for 45minutes- I noticed all the families that came long after I did already got their orders and left. I asked to check on my order and I watched them all look around through the tickets and it was clear they lost my order. They told me it would be another 10 minutes. After a full hour wait it was CLEAR they lost my order because the burgers had mustard and tomato on them after I specifically ordered them WITHOUT those. I couldn't even be bothered asking for new ones because it was such a disaster there. Waste of $30

Excellent place to stop in Pine Grove. The food was excellent! We stopped here on a roadtrip to have a cheeseburger and fries. Everything was fresh, the place was clean, and the service was excellent also. Overall: Very Good job!! We will be back!
